Jurgen Melzer and Leander Paes capped a dream debut by winning the Shanghai Rolex Masters with a 7-5, 4-6, 10-5 victory over Poles Mariusz Fyrstenberg and Marcin Matkowski in the final of the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tennis tournament on Sunday.
The Austrian-Indian duo had ended the 20-match winning streak of Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan in the semi-finals and, in the final, inflicted a third successive ATP World Tour final defeat on Fyrstenberg and Matkowski, who had finished runners-up in Kuala Lumpur and Beijing in the past two weeks.
