Dunlop’s Nicolas Almagro blasted his way to victory against Richard Gasquet in the final of the Allianz Suisse Open in Gstaad on Sunday.
The Spaniard put in an excellent performance – hitting 17 aces in two sets as he overcame the seventh seed.
One break each left the first set locked at 5-5 but Almagro made the crucial break to take the set and then cruised through the second with three further breaks of serve to wrap up a 7-5 6-1 scoreline in 75 minutes, having forced 18 break points in total.
Almagro is having a great run of form – winning in Bastad only two weeks ago!
